3 Cool Products You Shoud Know About

The ZaggBox can act as your digital media center and is loaded with an HDMI output and lots of inputs: three component, two composite video/S-Video, five USB 2.0, and 8-in-1 Multi ready (SD, Xd, MMC) SD card reader.

You might be thinking, do we really need another black box in our entertainment systems? Based on the functionality from Zagg, we just might.

The ZaggBox, which is Apple friendly and can be controlled via iPhone or iPod touch, combines a 1-terabyte hard drive, DVR capability (including recording of Blu-ray, the company says, in 1080i), wired or wireless streaming, friendly user on-screen interface and navigation and remote playback via the Internet.

We saw the demo of the ZAGGBox at CES and it's going to be an awesome product. Zagg plans to ship the product, which is available for pre-order for $799, in Q2 2010. The price may seem expensive but there’s nothing out there that does what it can, and it’s all in one box!

We never expected to see an LED-light that doubles as a wireless speaker. But that's exactly what Klipsch has to offer in 2010. Not surprisingly, this new product won the CES Innovations Award at this year's show.

The LightSpeaker is a screw-in LED light with a built-in wireless speaker. It’s larger than a typical light bulb, consuming the entire space within a standard can. Each unit contains a 10-watt LED, a speaker, 20-watt amplifier, and wireless technology from STS for streaming audio and control. The system supports two music zones and up to eight speakers.

The best part is you can buy this system now for $599. It includes two LightSpeakers, a transmitter, remote and other accessories. Designed for 5- and 6-inch recessed light fixtures, Klipsch claims the LED lights reduce daily lighting expenses by 80%. Easy to install, this totally hidden, space-saving sound solution fits the bill where space for speaker placement is an issue.

LG’s new BD590 flagship Blu-ray Player features a 250GB hard drive for storing music, photos, and online video content (purchased Vudu movies).

It can stream Netflix, Vudu, CinemaNow, YouTube, Pandora, Picasa, and AccuWeather through wired Ethernet or internal 802.11n WiFi. The Profile 2.0 player also has built-in decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio.

The BD590 is the next generation Blu-Ray Player, a step up from the BD390. CNET had this to say about the 390 last year: "The LG BD390's combination of excellent image quality, superfast loading times, and its currently unbeatable feature set make it our top choice among premium Blu-ray players." Expect no less of a review for the BD590.
