The OS 2.1 Release Delivers New Firmware for Control4 Devices

Control4 released OS 2.1 to Dealers last week .This release improves the quality and feature set of the operating system.
OS 2.1 includes enhancements to most areas of the system and user interface, brings back important features and capabilities available in earlier pre-2.0 releases, and provides significant new diagnostic and support features enhancing the Dealers on-site and remote support capability.
- The areas of OS2 improved by release 2.1 include:
- Quality and Performance Improvements to the On-Screen Navigator
- Quality Improvements to the management of Audio Zones
- New firmware for most ZigBee devices including Thermostats and Lighting Devices
- New Features included in OS 2.1 are:
- Support for near 20 languages
- Updated and improved Jandy AquaLink and Pentair Intellitouch pool control drivers.
- New support for Internet Radio allowing Internet Radio stations (HTTP-streamed MP3 format) to be added as Channels from the Media manager software.
- Productivuty enhancements for Dealers including a new Detective Suite of diagnostic tools, improvement to the software Update Manager, and support for USB stick creation for new OS 2.1 installs.
The OS 2.1 release has been the most thoroughly tested software release from Control4 to date. With the new firmware updates resolving known issues with thermostats and lighting devices, and the new capabilites added to OS2. Release 2.1 feels like a new release in many ways. Customers will appreciate the solid performance and reliability of OS 2.1, and Dealers will be enthusiastic to sell and install Control4 with this software.
