Spotlight On Residential Control Systems (RCS)
Residential Control Systems
|
RCS designs, engineers and manufactures home automation products used in the management of residential energy systems.
Products include network communicating thermostats for X10, UPB, Z-Wave, ZigBee, serial RS485, LonWorks, and the new TW43, a Wi-Fi enabled wireless digital thermostat designed to control HVAC systems should be available from RCS and RCS Distributors by mid-2010. The TW43 contains a robust thermostat interface and is designed for use with networked systems where remote monitoring and/or remote control are desired. If you have a home WiFi network in place, set up of the TW43 is as simple as any other WiFi device in your home, and in minutes you'll be able to view this thermostat over the Internet. This is great for retrofit applications where Cat5e to the existing thermostat was never installed for a hard-wired Ethernet connection.
RCS also provides programmable CommStar Controllers with built-in support for keypads, thermostats, security systems, lighting controls, and relay controls. Other products include the ZC series Zone Control Units, the KPG8 - Multi Menu Graphical Keypad, the KPL7 - 7 Button Keypad, and motorized dampers for heating ducts.
