Mi Casa Verde with Vera, offers a full-featured Z-Wave home control and IP camera solution that runs inside a Wi-Fi access point, with a focus on energy conservation. No PC is required. Secure remote control is available via cell phone and the Web. The Z-Wave gateway uses less than 6 watts of power and costs $299 retail.
Vera can slash your energy bill by 1/3 by making sure your lights, appliances, and heating/cooling systems are on only when needed. Vera presents you clear charts visually showing where your energy is being used: in which rooms, by which types of appliances, at which times of day, and day of the week.
