Control4's recently announced HC-800 home controller was named one of the best new products at the CES 2012 show in Las Vegas.

The new HC-800 from Control4 is the company’s most powerful home automation controller yet, and it’s packed with connectors that were lacking in its predecessor. It features an on-screen Navigator and audio through HDMI, analog and digital outputs to deliver four independent audio zones, two RS-232 ports, six IR ports and more.

The HC-800 has the exceptional horsepower, control capabilities and design to run even the most demanding control system. Developed as the foundation of every Control4® install, the HC-800 has the features and processing power to connect to and control everything in a typical home or light commercial automation system. The HC-800 features a dual core 1.8GHz processor which maximizes the power of the Control4 award-winning operating system.

The HC-800 matches the power of the HC-1000 controller, but provides exceptional connectivity to home A/V gear and other sub-systems. It fills a much needed void for a primary controller capable of controlling the entertainment center devices, and streaming audio/video to other rooms in a large home with exceptional performance and response time to button presses.

Control4 is accepting orders for the HC-800 now and expects to start shipping the product in February.
