Features

By replacing a standard light switch with the Cooper Aspire Z-Wave In-Wall Dimmer, you'll add instant dimming capabilities to any incandescent or MLV lighting load. Since this dimmer switch is also Z-Wave compatible, you'll also be able to control it remotely using a radio-frequency controller such as the Harmony 890, the Intermatic HA09C Handheld Remote, or HomeSeer running on your PC. So no wires need to be run, and you won't have to rely on power lines to get your commands to your lights. The Aspire RF Dimmer will fit any Decora-style wall plate, and comes in Alpine White (default), White Satin w/gray border, Desert Sand, or Silver Granite. Note: Z-Wave technology is not X10 compatible.

The Aspire RF Dimmer will control lighting loads up to 600 watts in 1-, 2-, or 3-gang wall boxes. Two-way feedback confirms that each device is set up and working properly. Once set up, you'll be able to use the switch to turn your lights on and off or dim them to the desired level. For n-way in-wall switches use the Cooper Aspire Z-Wave Non-RF Dimmer Accessory Switch (model:RF9542-Z).

Ease of Installation

This dimmer can be installed by a knowledgeable homeowner or an Electrician in addition to HomeSeer Dealers. This unit connects to standard 120 VAC 60 Hz house wiring. In a new home the Electrical subcontractor can install this unit and test it's manual operation. In a retrofit the involved Dealer will likely recommend the best resource to replace the existing switch/dimmer with this unit. It will be up to the homeowner or HomeSeer Dealer to add this device to the system configuration and setup desired events for automatic control of the dimmer individually or as part of a lighting scene.
